ink master tattoos

It probably didn't help the group's psyche to have to endure the flash challenge of having to leave their marks - literally - on the tongues or lips of willing canvases as the episode opened in Coney Island. Imagine trying to ink raw meat, and you get an idea of what these poor sods were in for, especially if you make the cardinal sin of trying to do too much in an area that accentuates your mistakes. "It's for shock value more so that it's a staple of tattooing," explains Nunez. "When you become a tattoo artist, you don't do hundreds of lips. Less is definitely more, you definitely don't want to get into designs and color down there, it seems to me its a lot of torture for nothing, it's not going to hold up."

Connecticut’s Steve Tefft, wearing a ribbon in honor of the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre, officially won the second season of the reality competition Tuesday night — after leaving his mark with a breathtaking full-back black-and-gray horror piece that wowed both the judges and the voting public.

“It was definitely hard to see Jesse go because his technical ability is very good - we say it every week - but he hasn’t shown he can do everything,” judge Chris Nunez told the News. “We all knew that Jessie's black and gray wasn't really up to par … Jessie got by on doing his own style for the entire competition. At what point do you call it a day on that?
